Server and Application Monitoring
InterMapper network monitoring software tests and reports on your servers and applications.
Synthetic transactions test mail, web, and directory servers and many other kinds of standard and proprietary servers or applications providing end-to-end proof that they are or are not operating properly.
In addition, InterMapper server monitoring continually measures the response time of your servers. Alerts are sent when the service stops operating, the response time exceeds your thresholds, or some other problem is detected.
The Host Resources probe (RFC 2790) provides a powerful view on the CPU, disk, and memory state of your server using SNMP v1, v2c, or v3. Windows Services ("NT Services") are monitored directly, and you can receive an alert if a particular service stops operating.
InterMapper server and application monitoring does not require agents to perform application or service monitoring. You can use standard Nagios® and Big Brother plugins to retrieve information from a device. In addition, InterMapper facilitates the creation of custom probes to test TCP or SNMP enabled devices.
