Microburst Level Visibility

InterMapper live network monitoring tools provide a highly-scalable platform for providing high-resolution measurements of network traffic.

InterMapper has a default polling interval of 30 seconds, rather than the typical one to five minute polling intervals relied on by other products. The polling interval can be set on a per-device basis to as low as one second to detect small changes or micro-bursts in network traffic or other effects.

Even using these short intervals, InterMapper's high-performance polling engine is able to monitor thousands of devices, not just with pings, but with its full set of SNMP, HTTP, SMTP, and other probes.
