Import latitude and longitude data to locate network devices on a map.

Data Import and Export

InterMapper live network monitoring software imports device data from customer files or other network monitoring systems and automatically maps and monitors it using specified probes. Imported files can be tab delimited, CSV, or XML format.

InterMapper network mapping tools can also import a device's latitude and longitude and automatically place the device against a background image on a geographic map.

InterMapper exports information as tab-delimited, CSV, XML, or HTML format files. In addition to information about the devices, InterMapper can export a list of network maps running on the server as well as all the interfaces for a map.

A northbound interface allows you to summarize information about the network, and send it to other systems for further processing. InterMapper sends information to other network management systems using:

  • SNMP Traps
  • Syslog messages
  • E-mail messages
  • Running command-line programs to make changes
