Flexible Network Performance Alerting and Notifications

InterMapper live network monitoring software notifies you of network performance issues through sounds, email messages, pages, SNMP traps to selected receivers, WinPopup messages, and syslog notification. Command-line notifiers provide corrective actions to, for instance, restart servers.

Notifications can be sent to one or more network managers, whenever thresholds are crossed. And network monitoring alerts can be set by individual to accommodate shifts schedules (different people for first or second shift, or providing weekend coverage) and can be repeated as many times as desired.

You can specify a time delay to minimize nuisance alerts, and to provide alert escalation. For example, if the primary contact hasn't acknowledged a network monitoring alert within 10 minutes, a second alert can be sent to an alternate contact.

Notification dependencies automatically determine when devices are behind or "shadowed" by a common failure, to eliminate extraneous, potentially confusing, notifications.
