What's an RSS Reader? What's an RSS Feed?
An RSS Reader program allows you to monitor a number of web sites for changes, so that you don't have to check them manually all the time.
Web sites can create special pages (an RSS feed) that get updated when there's something new. Typically, the RSS feed has a short description of the update, and a link to the full information. Dartware currently has these feeds:
A What's New? feed that lists big and small bits of news about Dartware, such as new versions, conferences we'll attend, new or updated probes, tips and techniques, etc.

A New Version feed, that announces the availability of full releases or strong beta-test versions.

In some web browsers, you can simply click the icon to subscribe to a feed. With other browsers, you can drag the orange XML icon to your RSS Reader.
In either event, the RSS Reader checks the feed on a regular basis to look for updates. There are many RSS Reader programs on all platforms: some popular ones are listed at the RSS Info site.
Dartware also provides a Portable Application Description (PAD) file that describes the software. This file is used to automatically update many download services.
