Dartware Introduces WISPerMapper™ for Fast-Growing WISP and Wi-Fi Markets

Provides the First Commercially-Supported Network Monitoring Software for Wireless Network Management

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Hanover, NH, July 12, 2004 -- Dartware, LLC, a leading developer of network management solutions, announced the launch of WISPerMapper™ software. Network managers, Internet service providers (ISPs), wireless Internet service providers (WISPs), and hot spot operators can use WISPerMapper's graphical mapping to monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks and correct problems, often before the customers notice.

WISPerMapper is the first commercially-supported technology that is targeted both especially at the Fixed Wireless ISP and hot spot markets. WISPerMapper shows the critical statistics from fixed wireless radios (customer premise equipment, access points, and backhauls) from Motorola, Canopy, Alvarion, Trango, Cisco, Karlnet and Tranzeo. Future versions will include probes for other popular wireless vendors. In addition, hot spot operators and providers can use WISPerMapper to give them an overview of their Wi-Fi network operations.

At the core of WISPerMapper is Dartware's more than eight years of experience in supplying InterMapper® network management software that is used in more than 30 countries around the world by more than 2,000 satisfied customers to maximize network uptime. Dartware software users include Adobe Systems, Apple Computer, British Telecom, Dartmouth Medical School, The Economist Group, Nevada Bell Intercom, Penn State University, San Diego Supercomputer Center, Schlumberger, Wyoming.com, and hundreds of other organizations and ISPs.

"For the first time, WISPs and, hot spot providers can get all of the benefits enjoyed by Dartware's worldwide installed base of network managers and ISPs," said Rich Brown, President of Dartware. "WISPerMapper users are typically up and running in a couple of hours, and ongoing maintenance is simple due to an intuitive interface. The real-time, color-coded display makes it easy to see which devices have issues and need troubleshooting so that networks stay up."

The WISPerMapper Starter Pack costs $350.00 for software and support for ten wireless and ten wired devices. Wireless add-on packs cost between $5.95 and $8.95 per device, depending upon the additional number of wireless devices.
