Product Manager

Marketing Manager

Software Engineer

Title: Product Manager

Reports to: President
Key Responsibilities: Dartware is seeking a Product Manager to bring new software products to market and grow existing product revenue. Work with customers and management to define business requirements. Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, and Engineering to complete the project.

  • Define market and understand competition.
  • Manage all aspects of a product from preliminary design through launch and ongoing enhancements
  • Work in close coordination with management, marketing and technical teams to establish current and future product requirements
  • Write detailed functional specifications for Engineering to use for software development estimates
  • Work with Engineering to resolve implementation problems and maintain schedule
  • Regular attendance at trade shows, analyst briefings, and customer sites for presentations
  • Communicate frequently with focus groups, testers, and customers to be sure software meets needs
  • Contribute to collateral materials, including web site updates, manuals, tech notes, and other documentation, data sheets, marketing presentations, etc.
  • Develop and implement sales force product training

Qualifications:

The candidate for this position should possess:

  • 3-5 years experience in technology product development, product marketing, product management, or business development
  • Ability to work with customers as well as company teams
  • A working knowledge of network related hardware/software vendors and their products. Familiarity with IP networking and protocols. Cisco certification and experience in network operations a plus.
  • Ability to travel once or twice per month
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills
  • BA/BS degree

Title: Marketing Manager

Reports to: President
Key Responsibilities: Dartware is seeking a Marketing Manager to be responsible for external representations of Dartware and its products, including relations with the press and analysts, website enhancements, search engine optimization, and production of collateral materials.

  • Develop a marketing plan and budget that includes PR, direct marketing, case studies, white papers, webinars, seminars, tradeshows, etc.
  • Generate PR - Organize outside publicity, including press releases, press and analyst outreach, update to download sites, etc.
  • Write white papers, success stories
  • Develop and enhance web site as necessary. Perform or direct web site maintenance, search engine optimization, pay per click campaigns, etc.
  • Define and create sets of collateral materials to support each individual product in the market including web site pages, manuals, tech notes, documentation, data sheets/brochures, presentations, etc.
  • Coordinate with Sales to create marketing programs for partners, resellers, VARs, etc.
  • Maintain a library of graphical assets

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in marketing programs and direct marketing in a technology company
  • Enjoy talking to customers, some travel expected
  • Ease with editing web pages, web programming skills a plus
  • Marketing driven technical skill set that includes all or most of the following:
    - working with a CMS
    - HTML
    - Page layout
    - Screen shots
  • Creating webinars
  • Familiarity with computer networking a plus
  • Excellent writing and spoken communication skills
  • BA/BS degree

Title: Software Engineer

Reports to: Director of Software Development

Key Responsibilities:

Software Engineer needed to work on Dartware's high-visibility network mapping and monitoring software, teasing information from reluctant network devices and reducing that data to a concise informational display that is communicated to remote clients.

Help develop our robust, easy-to-use, cross-platform, shrink-wrapped product used by network/computer professionals, working with support staff, testers, and customer representatives to continually elicit and specify requirements for new features and products and with our team of developers to design, code, and test them.

Qualifications:

Strong candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and will love to write software that delights customers. Meaningful experience with C/C++ required, as well as proficiency in Java, Python, or Perl. Strong math/science background and excellent written communication skills preferred. Sysadmin experience on Win2K/XP/W2K3, Mac OS X, Linux or *BSD helpful. Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, SNMP, Windows API, or SQL a plus. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
